Global Day of Prayer - Picnic in the Park - TODAY 13:00 After the Morning Worship Service, we are going to walk to Bitts Park and meet up with fellow believers beside the football pitches for a time of prayer, picnic and games. The prayer time is scheduled to last from 13:15-13:45 and then you can go home or stop for the food and fun. Prom Praise @ The Sage Gateshead - Saturday 8 November We have a limited number of tickets for this great event so we ask that you sign up NOW by paying your £15 deposit (per ticket) to Anne Scott or Liz Roberts. Please make your cheques payable to Hebron Evangelical Church. The total cost will be £25 and this will include the ticket and coach. We will have some time for lunch and shopping at the Metro Centre before we go to The Sage for the afternoon performance; arriving back in Carlisle in the early evening.
Prom Praise is a delightful mix of sacred and concert music; blending hymns and worship music with an orchestral backing, alongside selections of secular music. It features the All souls Orchestra and Prom Praise North East Choir conducted by Noel Tredinnick with guest soloist Joanne Lunn (soprano) and will be hosted by Rico Tice. It combines the spirit of “Songs of Praise” with the world-famous “Last Night of the Proms” and is a feast of orchestral, solo and choral items. There will be an element of celebration too when Noel and the Orchestra invite the audience to stand and join in to sing some favourite hymns and worship songs.
Proceeds from the performances will be given to support the work of the North East Charity “Tiny Lives”, and The Langham Arts School project “Prom Praise for Schools”. |
